This prime piece of Australia's/Tasmania's colonial real estate is for sale after forty years. The property extends over approx 0.35 ha (just under an acre) in the centre of George Town at the mouth of the Tamar River, Northern Tasmania. The Restaurant (approx 200 m2) built in 1975 (+ new customer bathrooms added 1989). Constructed of brick and featuring original Victorian french windows and door surround, pine beams and panelling. It is fully licensed, seats up to 100 people (and more in garden) and presently is open for prebooked groups, some external corporate catering and meetings/weddings/functions. The restaurant comes fitted out for ongoing business with chairs, tables, cutlery/crockery, coolroom, drinks fridge, 3 freezers, oven, dishwasher, glass washer, etc.
- Cojoined cottages. Original 2 br residence (Grove Cottage) built in 1973 of brick, featuring original Victorian windows, oregon panelling and beams. 1br brick apartment (Nanna's Cottage) built in 1980 features pine panelling. Operated for many years as B&B accommodation (RACT rating 3½ stars).
